Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)
Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC)
The Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) course equips pilots for multi-crew cockpits, emphasizing communication, teamwork, decision-making, and workload management. It highlights Crew Resource Management (CRM), standard procedures, and cockpit discipline vital for airline roles.
Candidates need a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and must comply with CASA regulations.
Participants enhance CRM skills, communication, coordination, decision-making, workload management, situational awareness, and threat management.
Training involves a multi-crew jet simulator, either an Airbus A320 or a Boeing B737, with classroom theory, simulator practice, scenario exercises, and debriefings, focusing on practical skills.

Course Overview
The Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) course prepares pilots for operations in a multicrew cockpit environment, such as airline and multi-pilot aircraft operations. This course focuses on developing effective communication, teamwork, decisionmaking, and workload management skills required when operating as part of a flight crew. Training emphasises Crew Resource Management (CRM), standard operating procedures, and professional cockpit discipline.
The MCC is an essential step for pilots preparing for airline or multi-crew operations.
To commence the MCC course, candidates must:
- Hold a Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) or
- Meet applicable CASA regulatory requirements

What You Will Learn
Crew Resource Management (CRM) principles
Students develop a strong understanding of Crew Resource Management, focusing on effective teamwork, communication, leadership, and decision-making in a multi-crew cockpit environment. Training emphasises how crew members work together to maintain safe and efficient flight operations.
Multi-crew communication and coordination
Students learn the communication techniques used in professional airline operations. Training focuses on clear information exchange between pilots, effective task coordination, and maintaining shared awareness of flight conditions and operational priorities.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Students are trained to operate using structured airline-style Standard Operating Procedures. This includes checklist discipline, callouts, task sharing between pilot flying and pilot monitoring, and maintaining consistency in cockpit operations.
Decision-making and workload management
Students develop strategies to manage workload effectively during different phases of flight. Training focuses on prioritisation, task management, and structured decision-making under operational pressure.
Situational awareness and threat management
Students learn how to maintain continuous awareness of aircraft status, environment, and operational risks. Training emphasises identifying potential threats early and applying appropriate strategies to prevent errors and maintain safe flight operations.
Training Platform
MCC training is conducted in a multi-crew jet simulator, designed to replicate airlinestyle cockpit operations:

Training Outcome
By the end of the course, candidates will be able to:
- Operate effectively as part of a multi-crew flight deck
- Apply CRM principles in normal and abnormal scenarios
- Communicate clearly and professionally in a cockpit environment
- Demonstrate effective decision-making as part of a crew
- Successful completion of the course results in the issue of an MCC Course
- Completion Certificate.

Training Process
1. Induction & Orientation
You will receive an overview of MCC training objectives, crew roles, standard operating procedures, and the simulator environment.
2. CRM & Multi-Crew Theory
Ground sessions focus on Crew Resource Management (CRM), communication, decision-making, and workload management in a multi-crew cockpit.
3. Simulator Training
You will complete structured simulator sessions in a multi-crew jet environment, practising normal and abnormal operations as part of a flight crew.
4. Scenario Consolidation
Training progresses to more complex scenarios requiring effective coordination, leadership, and situational awareness.
5. Course Completion
Once the required standard is met, you will be issued an MCC Course Completion Certificate, confirming readiness for airline-style multi-crew operations.
